Théories spectrales, IV, p. 351

On reprend les notations de l’exercice précédent. On note φn\varphi_n l’unique fonction propre de SLq_q pour la valeur propre λn\lambda_n telle que φn′(0)=λn\varphi '_n(0) =\lambda_n.

a) Soit M = sup{q(x)}\{q(x)\}. Pour tout n∈Nn\in \mathbf{N}, on a

π2(n+1)2⩽λn⩽π2(n+1)2+M \pi^2(n+ 1)^2\leqslant \lambda_n\leqslant \pi^2(n+ 1)^2+ M

et de plus

λn=π2(n+1)2(1+O(1n2)) \lambda_n=\pi^2(n+ 1)^2(1 + O(\frac{1}{n^2}))

quand n→+∞n\rightarrow +\infty.

b) Soit s>0s >0. Soit f∈C2([0,1])f\in \mathscr{C}^2([0,1]) tel que

−f′′+s2f=−qf,f(0)=0,f′(0)=s -f''+s^2f=-qf,f(0) = 0,f'(0) =s

On a alors (1−s−1us)f=gs(1-s^{-1}u_s)f=g_s, où gs(x)=g_s(x) = sin(sxsx) et usu_s est l’opérateur intégral sur C([0,1])\mathscr{C}([0,1]) donné par

us(f)(x)=∫0xu_s(f)(x) =\int_0^x sin(s(x−y)s(x-y))q(y)f(y)dμ(y)q(y)f(y)d\mu(y).

c) Pour ss suffisamment grand, on a s∉s \notin Sp(usu_s).

d) Pour tout xx fixé, on a

φn(x)=\varphi_n(x) = sin((n+1n+ 1)xx) +O(n−1)+ O(n^{-1})

quand n→+∞n\rightarrow +\infty.
