Algebra, VIII, p. 286, § 16. Other Descriptions of the Brauer Group

The relation

“α\alpha is the class of a τ\tau-extension for Isoτ_{\tau}”

is collectivizing in α\alpha.

Set E0=F×GE_0= F\times G, and consider the mappings ι0:F→E0\iota_0: F\rightarrow E_0 and π0:E0→G\pi_0: E_0\rightarrow G defined by ι0(f)=(f,e)\iota_0(f) = (f, e) for f∈Ff\in F and π0(f,g)=g\pi_0(f, g) =g for (f,g)∈F×G(f, g)\in F\times G. Let E=(Γ,ι,π)\mathscr{E}= (\Gamma , \iota , \pi ) be a τ\tau-extension of G by F. The mapping π\pi is surjective, so has a section σ:G→Γ\sigma : G\rightarrow \Gamma such that σ(e)=e\sigma (e) =e. The mapping u:(f,g)↦ι(f)σ(g)u: (f, g)\mapsto \iota (f)\sigma (g) from F×GF\times G to Γ is bijective. We endow F×GF\times G with the group law obtained by transfer of structure. The triple (E0,ι0,π0)(E_0, \iota_0, \pi_0) is then a τ\tau-extension isomorphic to E\mathscr{E}. Lemma 1 now follows from Set Theory, II, §6, No. 6, p. 122.

We denote by Exτ(G,F)_{\tau}(G,F) the set of classes of τ\tau-extensions for the relation Isoτ_{\tau}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
