Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VII, § 2. Cartan subalgebras and regular elements of a Lie algebra

Let h\mathfrak{h} be a Cartan subalgebra of a Lie algebra g\mathfrak{g}, and let Cng(n≥1)\mathscr{C}^n\mathfrak{g}(n\geq 1) be a term of the descending central series of g\mathfrak{g} (Chap. I, §1, no. 5). Then g=h+Cng\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{h}+\mathscr{C}^n\mathfrak{g}.

Indeed, Corollary 2 shows that the image of h\mathfrak{h} in g/Cng\mathfrak{g}/\mathscr{C}^n\mathfrak{g} is a Cartan subalgebra of g/Cng\mathfrak{g}/\mathscr{C}^n\mathfrak{g}, hence is equal to g/Cng\mathfrak{g}/\mathscr{C}^n\mathfrak{g} since g/Cng\mathfrak{g}/\mathscr{C}^n\mathfrak{g} is nilpotent (Example 1).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
