Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VII, § 5. Decomposable linear Lie algebras

Assume in addition that g\mathfrak{g} is solvable. Then:

(i) The subgroup of Aut(g\mathfrak{g}) consisting of the eadx,x∈C∞ge^{adx}, x\in \mathscr{C}^{\infty}\mathfrak{g} (cf. §3, no. 4), operates transitively on T1\mathscr{T}_1.

(ii) If t∈T1,g\mathfrak{t}\in \mathscr{T}_1,\mathfrak{g} is the semi-direct product of t\mathfrak{t} and nV(g)\mathfrak{n}_V(\mathfrak{g}).

Assertion (i) follows from the fact that the group of the eadx,x∈C∞ge^{adx},x\in \mathscr{C}^{\infty}\mathfrak{g}, operates transitively on H(\mathscr{H}(§3, no. 4, Th. 3).

We prove (ii). Let t∈T1\mathfrak{t}\in \mathscr{T}_1, and let h=ψ(t)\mathfrak{h}=\psi (\mathfrak{t}) be the corresponding Cartan subalgebra of g\mathfrak{g}. In view of Prop. 5,h=t+nV(h)⊂t+nV(g)5,\mathfrak{h}=\mathfrak{t}+\mathfrak{n}_V(\mathfrak{h})\subset \mathfrak{t}+\mathfrak{n}_V(\mathfrak{g}). On the other hand, g=h+[g,g](\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{h}+ [\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}] (§2, no. 1, Cor. 3 of Prop. 4) and [g,g]⊂nV(g)[\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}]\subset \mathfrak{n}_V(\mathfrak{g}), so g=t+nV(g)\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{t}+\mathfrak{n}_V(\mathfrak{g}). But it is clear that t∩nV(g)={0}\mathfrak{t}\cap \mathfrak{n}_V(\mathfrak{g}) =\{0\}. The algebra g\mathfrak{g} is thus the semi-direct product of t\mathfrak{t} and the ideal nV(g)\mathfrak{n}_V(\mathfrak{g}).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
