Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VII, § 4. Regular elements of a Lie group

The regular points for an analytic linear representation ρ\rho of G are the points of G in a neighbourhood of which rρr_{\rho} is constant. They constitute a dense open subset of G. If k=Ck=\mathbf{C} and G is connected, the set of regular points for ρ\rho is connected.

This follows from Lemma 1 (iv).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
