Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VIII, § 6. Modules over a split semi-simple Lie algebra

Let V be a g\mathfrak{g}-module and v∈Vv\in V. Then vv is said to be a primitive element of V if v≠0v\not= 0 and vv satisfies the conditions of Lemma 1.

A primitive element belongs to one of the VλV^{\lambda}. For all λ∈h∗,Vπλ\lambda \in \mathfrak{h}^*, V_{\pi}^{\lambda} denotes the set of v∈Vλv\in V^{\lambda} such that b+v⊂kv\mathfrak{b}_+v\subset kv. Thus, the primitive elements of weight λ\lambda are the non-zero elements of VπλV_{\pi}^{\lambda}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
