Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VIII, § 7. Finite dimensional modules over a split semi-simple Lie algebra

Let λ,μ∈P++\lambda , \mu\in P_{++}. Let E,F,GE,F,G be simple g\mathfrak{g}-modules with highest weights λ,μ,λ+μ\lambda , \mu, \lambda +\mu. Let X\mathscr{X} (resp. X′,X′′\mathscr{X}',\mathscr{X}'') be the set of weights of E (resp. F,GF,G). Then X′′=X+X′\mathscr{X}''=\mathscr{X}+\mathscr{X}'.

We have E=⨁ν∈PEν,F=⨁σ∈PFσE =\bigoplus_{\nu\in P}E^{\nu},F =\bigoplus_{\sigma\in P}F^{\sigma}, so E⊗FE\otimes F is the direct sum of the

(E⊗F)τ=∑ν+σ=τEν⊗Fσ (E\otimes F)^{\tau}=\sum_{\nu+\sigma=\tau}E^{\nu}\otimes F^{\sigma}

By Prop. 9, G can be identified with a g\mathfrak{g}-submodule of E⊗FE\otimes F, so X′′⊂X+X′\mathscr{X}''\subset \mathscr{X}+\mathscr{X}'. We have Gτ=G∩(E⊗F)τG^{\tau}= G\cap (E\otimes F)^{\tau}, and it is enough to show that, for ν∈X\nu \in \mathscr{X} and σ∈X′\sigma \in \mathscr{X}', we have G∩(E⊗F)ν+σ≠0G\cap (E\otimes F)^{\nu+\sigma}\not= 0. Let (e1,...,en)(e_1, . . . , e_n) (resp. (f1,...,fp)(f_1, . . . , f_p)) be a basis of E (resp. F) consisting of elements each of which belong to some EνE^{\nu} (resp. FσF^{\sigma}), and such that e1∈Eλe_1\in E^{\lambda} (resp. f1∈Fμf_1\in F^\mu). The ei⊗fje_i\otimes f_j form a basis of E⊗FE\otimes F. Suppose that the result to be proved is false. Then there exists a pair (i,j)(i, j) such that the coordinate of index (i,j)(i, j) of every element of G is zero. Let U be the enveloping algebra of g,U′\mathfrak{g}, U' the dual of U,cU,c the coproduct of U. For all u∈Uu\in U, let xi(u)x_i(u) (resp. yj(u)y_j(u)) be the coordinate of u(e1)u(e_1) (resp. u(f1)u(f_1)) of index ii (resp. jj); let zij(u)z_{ij}(u) be the coordinate of index (i,j)(i, j) of u(e1⊗f1)u(e_1\otimes f_1). Then xi,yj,zij∈U′x_i, y_j, z_{ij}\in U'. Now e1e_1 generates the g\mathfrak{g}-module E, so xi≠0x_i\not= 0, and similarly yj≠0y_j\not= 0. By the definition of the g\mathfrak{g}-module E⊗FE\otimes F (Chap. I, §3, no. 2), if c(u)=∑us⊗us′c(u) =\sum u_s\otimes u'_s, we have

zij(u)=∑sxi(us).yj(us′)=⟨c(u),xi⊗yj⟩ z_{ij}(u) =\sum_sx_i(u_s).y_j(u'_s) =\langle c(u), x_i\otimes y_j\rangle

In other words, zijz_{ij} is the product of xix_i and yjy_j in the algebra U′U'. But this algebra is an integral domain (Chap. II, §1, no. 5, Prop. 10), so zij≠0z_{ij}\not= 0. Since u(e1⊗f1)∈Gu(e_1\otimes f_1)\in G for all u∈Uu\in U, this is a contradiction.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
