Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VIII, § 8. Symmetric invariants

Let V be a finite dimensional vector space, G a finite group of automorphisms of V, and vv and v′v' elements of V such that v′∉Gvv'\notin Gv. There exists a G-invariant polynomial function ff on V such that f(v′)≠f(v)f(v')\not=f(v).

Indeed, for each s∈Gs\in G there exists a polynomial function gsg_s on V equal to 1 at vv and to 0 at sv′sv'. Then the function g=1−∏s∈Ggsg= 1-\prod_{s\in G}g_s is equal to 0 at

vv and to 1 on Gv′Gv'. The polynomial function f=∏t∈gt.gf=\prod_{t\in g}t.g is G-invariant, equal to 0 at vv and to 1 at v′v'.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
