Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter IX, § 1. Compact Lie algebras

Let G be a connected compact Lie group. Then Int(G) is the identity component of the Lie group Aut(G) (Chap. III, §10, no. 2).

Let f∈f\in Aut(G)0_0. Then ff induces an automorphism f1f_1 of C(G)0C(G)_0 and an automorphism f2f_2 of D(G), and we have f1∈f_1\in Aut(C(G)0_0)0,f2∈_0, f_2\in Aut(D(G))0_0. Since Aut(C(G)0_0) is discrete (General Topology, Chap. VII, §2, no. 4, Prop. 5), we have f1=f_1= Id; since D(G) is semi-simple, by Chap. III, §10, no. 2, Cor. 2 of Th. 1 there exists an element gg of D(G) such that f2(x)=gxg−1f_2(x) =gxg^{-1} for all x∈x\in D(G). For all x∈C(G)0x\in C(G)_0, we have gxg−1=xgxg^{-1}=x = f1(x)f_1(x); since G=C(G)0.D(G)G = C(G)_0.D(G), it follows that gxg−1=f(x)gxg^{-1}=f(x) for all x∈Gx\in G, so f=f= Int gg.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
