Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, IX, 391

Let G be a compact Lie group, g\mathfrak{g} its Lie algebra, s\mathfrak{s} a vector subspace of g\mathfrak{g} such that, for x,y,zx, y, z in s\mathfrak{s}, we have [x,[y,z]]∈s[x,[y, z]]\in \mathfrak{s}. Let L\mathscr{L} be the set of commutative subalgebras of g\mathfrak{g} contained in s\mathfrak{s}. Show that the identity component of the stabilizer of s\mathfrak{s} in G operates transitively on the set of maximal elements of L\mathscr{L} (argue as in the proof of Th. 1).
