Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter IX, § 4. Root system associated to a compact group

A framing of (G,T)(G,T) is a pair (B,(Uα)α∈B)(B,(U_{\alpha})_{\alpha\in B}), where B is a basis of R(G,T)R(G,T) (Chap. VI, §1, no. 5, Def. 2) and where, for all α∈B,Uα\alpha \in B,U_{\alpha} is an element of V(α)V(\alpha ) such that K(Uα)=−1K(U_{\alpha}) =-1.

A framing of G is a maximal torus T of G together with a framing of (G,T)(G,T).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
