Topologie algébrique, chapter I, § 3. Faisceaux

Let F\mathscr{F} be a presheaf on B. For every open set U of B, f∅Uf_{\emptyset U} is a map of F(U)\mathscr{F}(U) into F(∅)\mathscr{F}(\emptyset ), hence F(∅)\mathscr{F}(\emptyset ) is not empty as soon as there exists an open set U for which F(U)\mathscr{F}(U) is not empty. If F\mathscr{F} is a sheaf, F(∅)\mathscr{F}(\emptyset ) is a one-element set; this is seen by applying (F1)(F_1) and (F2)(F_2) to the covering of the empty set by the empty family (I=∅I =\emptyset ).

Let F\mathscr{F} be a sheaf on B and let B′B' be an open subset of B; the presheaf F∣B′\mathscr{F}|B' deduced from F\mathscr{F} by restriction to B′B' is a sheaf, called the sheaf deduced from F\mathscr{F} by restriction to B′B'.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
