Topologie algébrique, chapter I, § 3. Faisceaux

Let B be a topological space, B\mathscr{B} a basis of the topology of B,F=(F(U),fUV),\mathscr{F}= (\mathscr{F}(U), f_{UV}) and G=(G(U),gUV)\mathscr{G}= (\mathscr{G}(U), g_{UV}) presheaves on B relative to B\mathscr{B}. A morphism of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} to G\mathscr{G} is called a projective system of mappings from F\mathscr{F} to G\mathscr{G}.

In other words (E, III, p. 54), a morphism of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} to G\mathscr{G} is a family (φU)U∈B(\varphi_U)_{U\in\mathscr{B}} such that :

(MPF1_1) For every open set U belonging to B,φU\mathscr{B},\varphi_U is a mapping

from F(U)\mathscr{F}(U) into G(U)\mathscr{G}(U) ;

(MPF2_2) For every pair (U,V)(U,V) of open sets belonging to B\mathscr{B} such that

U⊂VU\subset V, one has φU∘fUV=gUV∘φV\varphi_U\circ f_{UV}=g_{UV}\circ \varphi_V.

When F\mathscr{F} and G\mathscr{G} are sheaves, a morphism of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} to G\mathscr{G} is also called a morphism of sheaves. If F\mathscr{F} and G\mathscr{G} are presheaves on B relative to B\mathscr{B}, the morphisms of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} to G\mathscr{G} constitute a set denoted Mor(F;G\mathscr{F};\mathscr{G}). Instead of saying : “let φ\varphi be a morphism of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} to G\mathscr{G}”, one will often say “let φ:F→G\varphi :\mathscr{F}\rightarrow \mathscr{G} be a morphism of presheaves”.

Let F,G,H\mathscr{F},\mathscr{G},\mathscr{H} be presheaves on B relative to B\mathscr{B} and let φ:F→G\varphi :\mathscr{F}\rightarrow \mathscr{G}, ψ:G→H\psi :\mathscr{G}\rightarrow \mathscr{H} be morphisms of presheaves. The family (ψU∘φU)U∈B(\psi_U\circ \varphi_U)_{U\in\mathscr{B}} is a morphism of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} into H\mathscr{H} which is denoted by ψ∘φ\psi \circ \varphi. The family (IdF(U)_{\mathscr{F}(U)})U∈B_{U\in\mathscr{B}} is a morphism of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} into itself which is denoted by IdF_{\mathscr{F}}.

For a morphism of presheaves φ=(φU):F→G\varphi = (\varphi_U):\mathscr{F}\rightarrow \mathscr{G} to be an isomorphism, it is necessary and sufficient that, for every open subset U of B,φU\mathscr{B},\varphi_U be a bijection from F(U)\mathscr{F}(U) onto G(U)\mathscr{G}(U). It is equivalent to saying that there exists a morphism of presheaves ψ:G→F\psi :\mathscr{G}\rightarrow \mathscr{F} such that ψ∘φ=\psi \circ \varphi = IdF_{\mathscr{F}} and φ∘ψ=\varphi \circ \psi = IdG_{\mathscr{G}}.

Let F\mathscr{F} and G\mathscr{G} be presheaves on B, relative to a base B\mathscr{B} of the topology of B, let B′B' be an open subset of B and let B′\mathscr{B}' be a base of the topology of B′B' such that B′⊂B\mathscr{B}'\subset \mathscr{B}. Let φ=(φU)U∈B\varphi = (\varphi_U)_{U\in\mathscr{B}} be a morphism of presheaves from F\mathscr{F} into G\mathscr{G}. Then (φU)U∈B′(\varphi_U)_{U\in\mathscr{B}'} is a morphism of presheaves from F∣B′\mathscr{F}|\mathscr{B}' into G∣B′\mathscr{G}|\mathscr{B}', which is denoted by φ∣B′\varphi |\mathscr{B}'. When B\mathscr{B} is the set of open subsets of B and B′\mathscr{B}' the set of open subsets of B′,φ∣B′B',\varphi |\mathscr{B}' is a morphism of presheaves from F∣B′\mathscr{F}|B' into G∣B′\mathscr{G}|B' and is also denoted by φ∣B′\varphi |B'.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
