Topologie algébrique, chapter I, § 3. Faisceaux

Let X be a differential manifold of class C∞C^{\infty} over R\mathbf{R} and let C∞(X;R)\mathscr{C}^{\infty}(X;\mathbf{R}) be the sheaf on X of numerical functions of class C∞C^{\infty}. If P is a differential operator with C∞C^{\infty} coefficients on X, the family of the restrictions of P to the open sets of X is a morphism of the sheaf C∞(X;R)\mathscr{C}^{\infty}(X;\mathbf{R}) into itself. One can prove that conversely, every R\mathbf{R}-linear morphism of the sheaf C∞(X;R)\mathscr{C}^{\infty}(X;\mathbf{R}) into itself is locally of this form (I, p. 142, exerc. 3).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
