Topologie algébrique, chapter II, § 3. Groupoïdes

Let C be a quiver, let G be a groupoid, and let φ\varphi be a quiver morphism from C into G. There exists a unique groupoid morphism φ′\varphi ' from Grp(C) into G such that φ′∘θC=φ\varphi '\circ \theta_C=\varphi.

Let ψ\psi be the quiver morphism from C~\widetilde{C} into G such that ψ(a)=φ(a)\psi (a) =\varphi (a) for every vertex aa of C and ψ(f,ε)=φ(f)ε\psi (f, \varepsilon ) =\varphi (f)^{\varepsilon} for every arrow ff of C and every ε∈{−1,1}\varepsilon \in \{-1,1\}. One has ψ∘i=φ\psi \circ i=\varphi. By Proposition 5, p. 173, there exists a morphism φ′\varphi ' from Grp(C) =ϖC=\varpi_C into G such that φ′∘j=ψ\varphi '\circ j=\psi. One then has φ′∘θC=φ′∘j∘i=ψ∘i=~φ\varphi '\circ \theta_C=\varphi '\circ j\circ i=\psi \circ i\widetilde{=}\varphi. As in the proof of Prop. 5, the uniqueness of φ′\varphi ' results from the fact that θC(C)\theta_C(C) generates the groupoid Grp(C).

Under the hypotheses of Prop. 6, one sometimes says that φ′\varphi ' is the groupoid morphism from Grp(C) into G extending the quiver morphism φ\varphi.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
