Topologie algébrique, chapter III, § 2. Homotopie et chemins

Let X be a topological space and let P be a topological space reduced to a point. Identify P×IP\times \mathbf{I} with I\mathbf{I} by the projection pr2_2. The set C(P×I;X)\mathscr{C}(P\times \mathbf{I}; X) of homotopies between (necessarily continuous) mappings from P into X is then identified with the set C(I;X)\mathscr{C}(\mathbf{I}; X) of paths in X. To a homotopy joining the constant mapping of image xx to the constant mapping of image yy there corresponds a path with origin xx and term yy. The preceding identifications are compatible with the notions of juxtaposition and passing to the opposite (cf. III, p. 230).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
