Topologie algébrique, chapter III, § 2. Homotopie et chemins

Let X and Y be topological spaces. The canonical mapping

C(X×I;Y)→C(I;Cc(X;Y)) \mathscr{C}(X\times \mathbf{I}; Y)\rightarrow \mathscr{C}(\mathbf{I};\mathscr{C}_c(X; Y))

associates to every homotopy σ:X×I→Y\sigma : X\times \mathbf{I}\rightarrow Y joining two mappings ff and gg from X into Y a path with origin ff, term gg, in the space Cc(X;Y)\mathscr{C}_c(X; Y). If X is a locally compact space, this canonical mapping is bijective (TG, X, p. 28, theorem 3).

Let X be a topological space. One calls the space of paths of X, and denotes by Λ(X), the topological space Cc(I;X)\mathscr{C}_c(\mathbf{I}; X) whose elements are the paths in X and whose topology is that of compact convergence (cf. TG, X, p. 27). If xx is a point of X, one denotes by Λx(X)\Lambda_x(X) the subspace of Λ(X) formed by paths with origin xx. If yy is a second point of X, one denotes by Λx,y(X)\Lambda_{x,y}(X) the subspace of Λ(X) formed by paths with origin xx and term yy.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
