Topologie algébrique, chapter III, § 4. Homotopie et revêtements

Let B be a topological space and let E be a covering of B. Let B′B' be a topological space and let f0f_0 and f1f_1 be continuous mappings of B′B' into B. Let σ:B′×\sigma : B'\times I→B\mathbf{I}\rightarrow B be a homotopy joining f0f_0 to f1f_1. Let g0:B′→Eg_0: B'\rightarrow E be a continuous lifting of f0f_0 to E. There exists a unique continuous mapping σ~:B′×I→\widetilde{\sigma}: B'\times \mathbf{I}\rightarrow E lifting σ\sigma which is a homotopy with initial term g0g_0. Its term g1:B′→Eg_1: B'\rightarrow E is a continuous lifting of f1f_1 to E.

This follows from corollary 3 of prop. 8 of I, p. 130, applied to the simply connected and locally connected topological space I\mathbf{I}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
