Topologie algébrique, chapter IV, § 6. Espaces classifiants

Let Z be a topological space, K a compact topological space and W an open subset of Z×KZ\times K. The set U of points z∈Zz\in Z such that {z}×K\{z\} \times K is contained in W is open in Z.

The first projection pr1:Z×K→Z_1: Z\times K\rightarrow Z is proper (TG, I, p. 77, cor. 5), hence closed. Consequently, ∁U=\complement U = pr1(∁W)_1(\complement W) is closed in Z and U is open.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
