Théories spectrales, chapter II, § 3. Sous-espaces invariants

a) Let M be a measurable subset of G^\widehat{G}. For every x∈Gx\in G, the space EME_M is stable under the mapping f↦εx∗ff\mapsto \varepsilon_x*f;

b) Let M and N be measurable subsets of G^\widehat{G}. We have EM=ENE_M= E_N if and only if M and N are equal up to a locally negligible set;

c) Every subspace of L2(G)L^2(G) stable under the mappings f↦εx∗ff\mapsto \varepsilon_x*f for every x∈Gx\in G is of the form EME_M for some measurable subset M of G^\widehat{G}.

This result will be proved later (cf. V, to appear).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
