Théories spectrales, chapter III, § 2. Exemples d’applications linéaires compactes
Let be the underlying real analytic manifold of X and the complex vector bundle on underlying E.
a) The vector subspace of is closed, and the injection of into is continuous and strict ;
b) The canonical injection of into is continuous.
Suppose first that there exist an integer and a Banach space F such that X is an open subset of and E the trivial vector bundle . In this case, the topological vector spaces , and are isomorphic to and respectively, and the vector space is metrizable (TG, X, p. 20, cor. of prop. 1). The lemma then follows from VAR, 3.3.2, p. 28.
Let us pass to the general case. Let be a filter on which converges in the space to a limit . It is a question of proving that belongs to and that the filter converges to in the space . This statement is of a local nature, and therefore follows from the first part of the proof.
Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
