Théories spectrales, chapter V, § 3. Fonctions de type positif

The sets Pos(G) (resp. Pos1(G)_1(G) and Pos⩽1(G)_{\leqslant 1}(G)) are self-adjoint convex subsets of the involutive algebra Cb(G)\mathscr{C}_b(G). They are closed in the space Cb(G)\mathscr{C}_b(G) endowed with the topology of simple convergence. The set Pos(G) is a convex cone with vertex 0 in the real Banach space Cb(G)\mathscr{C}_b(G).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
