Theory of Sets, chapter III, § 3. Equipotent sets. Cardinals

Let (aι)ι∈I(\mathfrak{a}_\iota)_{\iota \in I} be a family of cardinals. For each subset J of I we have ∑ι∈Jaι⩽∑ι∈Iaι\sum_{\iota \in J} \mathfrak{a}_\iota \leqslant \sum_{\iota \in I} \mathfrak{a}_\iota. If also aι≠0\mathfrak{a}_\iota \neq 0 for all ι∈I−J\iota \in I - J, then Pι∈J aι⩽Pι∈I aι\mathbf{P}_{\iota \in J} \, \mathfrak{a}_\iota \leqslant \mathbf{P}_{\iota \in I} \, \mathfrak{a}_\iota.

Put bι=aι\mathfrak{b}_\iota = \mathfrak{a}_\iota if ι∈J\iota \in J, and bι=0\mathfrak{b}_\iota = 0 (resp. bι=1\mathfrak{b}_\iota = 1) if ι∈I−J\iota \in I - J. Then apply Proposition 14, observing that the relation a≠0\mathfrak{a} \neq 0 implies a⩾1\mathfrak{a} \geqslant 1.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
