Theory of Sets, chapter III, § 5. Properties of integers

Let aa, a′a', and bb be integers such that a<a′a < a' and b>0b > 0. Then ab<a′ba^b < {a'}^b.

We need only express aba^b and a′b{a'}^b as products of finite families of integers (§ 3, no. 5, Proposition 10) and apply Proposition 3, observing that the relation a<a′a < a' implies a′>0a' > 0.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
