Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 4. Spectra of rings and supports of modules

Let A,A′A, A' be two rings, X=Spec(A),X′=Spec(A′)X = \mathrm{Spec}(A), X' = \mathrm{Spec}(A') and hh a homomorphism from AA to A′A'; the mapping ah:p′↦h‾(p′)^a h : p' \mapsto \overline{h}(p') from X′X' to XX is continuous.

For M⊂AM \subset A, the set (ah)−1(V(M))(^a h)^{-1}(V(M)) is the set of prime ideals p′p' of A′A' such that M⊂h‾(p′)M \subset \overline{h}(p'), which is equivalent to h(M)⊂p′h(M) \subset p'; this set is then equal to V(h(M))V(h(M)) and is therefore closed.

We call ah^a h the mapping associated with the homomorphism hh.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
