Commutative Algebra, chapter III, § 3. m-adic topologies on Noetherian rings

Let A be a commutative Noetherian ring and a, b two ideals of A. There exists an integer h > 0 such that ah∩b⊂aba^h \cap b \subset ab.

There exists n such that an+1∩b=a(an∩b)⊂aba^{n+1} \cap b = a(a^n \cap b) \subset ab by Corollary 1 applied to E=A,F=bE = A, F = b.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
