Commutative Algebra, chapter V, § 1. Notion of an integral element

Let A=⨁i∈ZAiA = \bigoplus_{i \in \mathbf{Z}} A_i be an integrally closed graded domain. Then, for every integer d>0d > 0, the ring A(d)A^{(d)} (Chapter III, § 1, no. 3) is an integrally closed domain.

Let UU be the set of homogeneous elements ≠0\neq 0 of A(d)A^{(d)} and let xx be a homogeneous element of U−1A(d)U^{-1}A^{(d)} integral over A(d)A^{(d)} and hence over AA; as x∈S−1Ax \in S^{-1}A, xx belongs to AA by hypothesis; as its degree is divisible by dd, it belongs to A(d)A^{(d)} and it then follows from Corollary 1 that A(d)A^{(d)} is integrally closed.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
