Commutative Algebra, chapter V, § 3. Finitely generated algebras over a field

*Let (Pλ)λ∈L(P_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} be a family of polynomials in Z[X1,…,Xn]\mathbf{Z}[X_1, \ldots, X_n] and let QQ be a polynomial in Z[X1,…,Xn]\mathbf{Z}[X_1, \ldots, X_n] such that, for every system of elements (xi)1≤i≤n(x_i)_{1 \leq i \leq n} belonging to a finite field and for which Pλ(x1,…,xn)=0P_\lambda(x_1, \ldots, x_n) = 0 for all λ\lambda, also Q(x1,…,xn)=0Q(x_1, \ldots, x_n) = 0. Then, if aa is the ideal of Z[X1,…,Xn]\mathbf{Z}[X_1, \ldots, X_n] generated by the PλP_\lambda, there exists an integer m>0m > 0 such that Qm∈aQ^m \in a. Moreover, for every reduced ring RR and every system (yi)1≤i≤n(y_i)_{1 \leq i \leq n} of elements of RR such that Pλ(y1,…,yn)=0P_\lambda(y_1, \ldots, y_n) = 0 for all λ\lambda, also Q(y1,…,yn)=0Q(y_1, \ldots, y_n) = 0.

The second assertion follows from the first since the ideal of Z[X1,…,Xn]\mathbf{Z}[X_1, \ldots, X_n] consisting of the polynomials PP such that P(y1,…,yn)=0P(y_1, \ldots, y_n) = 0 contains aa. To show the first assertion, it suffices to note that, for every maximal ideal mm of A=Z[X1,…,Xn]A = \mathbf{Z}[X_1, \ldots, X_n] containing aa, A/mA/m is a finite field (Corollary 1) and the hypothesis implies that the canonical image of QQ in A/mA/m is zero; then QQ belongs to the intersection of the maximal ideals of AA containing aa, which is the radical of aa (Corollary to Proposition 3).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
