Commutative Algebra, chapter VI, § 3. Valuations

Let G+G_+ be the set of positive elements in GG. The mapping M↦a(M)M \mapsto a(M) is a bijection of the set of major subsets of G+G_+, onto the set of ideals of AA.

As A=a(G+)A = a(G_+), a(M)⊂Aa(M) \subset A is equivalent to M⊂G+M \subset G_+.

For example the maximal ideal m(A)m(A) is equal to a(S)a(S), where SS denotes the set of strictly positive elements of GG.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
