Commutative Algebra, chapter VII, § 4. Modules over integrally closed Noetherian domains

Let M be a finitely generated A-module. The following conditions are equivalent:

(a) Mp=0M_p = 0 for every prime ideal pp of height ≤1\leq 1. (b) The annihilator a◃Ma \triangleleft M is an ideal ≠(0)\neq (0) and A:a=AA : a = A (A: aa denoting, as in §1§ 1, no. 1, the set of x∈Kx \in K such that xa∈Axa \in A).

We know (Chapter II, §2§ 2, no. 2, Corollary 2 to Proposition 4) that the condition Mp=0M_p = 0 is equivalent to a+pa + p and hence to aAp=AaA_p = A, (Chapter II, §2§ 2, no. 5, Remark); on the other hand, for every integral ideal b≠0b \neq 0 of A, the relation "*bAp=AbA_p = A, for all p∈Pp \in P*" is equivalent to div⁡b=div⁡A=0\operatorname{div} b = \operatorname{div} A = 0 in D(A)D(A) (§1§ 1, no. 4, Proposition 7), or also to div⁡(A:b)=0\operatorname{div}(A : b) = 0 and, as A:bA : b is divisorial (§1§ 1, no. 1, Proposition 1), this relation is also equivalent to A:b=AA : b = A. The proposition then follows by noting that to say that a∉pa \notin p for p=(0)p = (0) means that a≠(0)a \neq (0).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
