Algebra, chapter I, § 4. Groups and groups with operators
Two Jordan-Hölder series of a group with operators are equivalent.
Let be two Jordan-Hölder series of a group with operators ; by applying Theorem 5 two equivalent composition series are obtained which are respectively finer than and ; since the latter are Jordan-Hölder series, is identical with or is derived from it by repeating certain terms; the series of quotients of is derived from that for by inserting a number of terms isomorphic to the group ; since is strictly decreasing, the series of quotients of is derived from that of by suppressing in the latter all the terms isomorphic to . Similarly for and . As the series of quotients of and differ (up to isomorphism) only in the order of the terms, the same is true of and ; the theorem is proved.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
