Algebra, chapter II, § 9. Affine spaces and projective spaces

In a projective space P(V)\mathbf{P}(V) over a field KK, let H=P(W)H = \mathbf{P}(W) be a hyperplane. There exists a bijective linear mapping ff of VV onto Ks×WK_s \times W such that f(W)=Wf(W) = W; let gg be the projective mapping obtained from ff by passing to the quotients. It has been seen (no. 8) that the complement of P(W)\mathbf{P}(W) in P(Ks×W)\mathbf{P}(K_s \times W) can be identified with an affine space whose translation space is WW. When P(V)\mathbf{P}(V) is identified with P(Ks×W)\mathbf{P}(K_s \times W) by means of gg, it is said that HH has been taken as hyperplane at infinity in P(V)\mathbf{P}(V); the complement of HH in P(V)\mathbf{P}(V) is then identified with an affine space whose translation space is WW.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
