Algebra, chapter II, § 11. Graded modules and rings

It follows from the proof of Corollary 1 that Corollaries 1 and 2 (resp. Corollary 3) are still valid when, instead of assuming that M\mathbf{M} (resp. N\mathbf{N}) is finitely generated, the following hypothesis is made: there exists a subset Δ+\Delta^+ of Δ\Delta satisfying the following conditions:

(1) for λ∉Δ+\lambda \notin \Delta^+, Mλ={0}M_\lambda = \{0\} (resp. Nλ={0}N_\lambda = \{0\}); (2) every non-empty subset of Δ+\Delta^+ has a least element.

This will be the case if Δ=Z\Delta = \mathbf{Z} and M\mathbf{M} (resp. N\mathbf{N}) is a graded module with positive degrees.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
