Algebra, chapter II, § 11. Graded modules and rings

When AA has the trivial graduation (no. 1, Example 1), (M⊗AN)λ(M \otimes_A N)_\lambda is then simply the direct sum of the sub-YY-modules Mμ⊗ANνM_\mu \otimes_A N_\nu of M⊗ANM \otimes_A N such that μ+ν=λ\mu + \nu = \lambda.

Let MM (resp. NN) be a graded right (resp. left) AA-module of type Δ\Delta, PP a graded Z\mathbf{Z}-module of type Δ\Delta and let ff be a Z\mathbf{Z}-bilinear mapping of M×NM \times N into PP satisfying condition (1) of §3§ 3, no. 1, and such moreover that

f(xλ,yμ)∈Pλ+μfor xλ∈Mλ,yμ∈Nμ,λ,μ in Δ. f(x_\lambda, y_\mu) \in P_{\lambda+\mu} \quad \text{for } x_\lambda \in M_\lambda, y_\mu \in N_\mu, \lambda, \mu \text{ in } \Delta.
Then f(x,y)=g(x⊗y)f(x, y) = g(x \otimes y), where g:M⊗AN→Pg : M \otimes_A N \to P is a Z\mathbf{Z}-linear mapping (§3§ 3, no. 1, Proposition 1) and it follows from the above condition that gg is a graded Z\mathbf{Z}-module homomorphism of degree 0.

Let BB be another graded ring of type Δ\Delta and ρ:A→B\rho : A \to B a homomorphism of graded rings (no. 2); then ρ∗(Bd)\rho^*(B_d) is a graded right AA-module of type Δ\Delta. If EE is a graded left AA-module of type Δ\Delta and ρ∗(Bd)⊗AE\rho^*(B_d) \otimes_A E is given the graded Z\mathbf{Z}-module structure of type Δ\Delta defined above, the canonical left BB-module structure (§5§ 5, no. 1) is compatible with the graduation of

E(B)=ρ∗(E)=ρ∗(Bd)⊗AE. E_{(B)} = \rho^*(E) = \rho^*(B_d) \otimes_A E.
The graded BB-module thus obtained is said to be obtained by extending the ring of scalars to BB by means of ρ\rho and when we speak of E(B)E_{(B)} or ρ∗(E)\rho^*(E) as a graded BB-module, we always mean this structure, unless otherwise mentioned.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
