Algebra, chapter III, § 7. Exterior algebras

*If u:M→Nu: M \to N is a surjective AA-linear mapping, the homomorphism Λ(u):Λ(M)→Λ(N)\Lambda(u): \Lambda(M) \to \Lambda(N) is surjective and its kernel is the two-sided ideal of Λ(M)\Lambda(M) generated by the kernel P⊂M⊂Λ(M)P \subset M \subset \Lambda(M) of uu.

The proof is derived from that of § 6, no. 2, Proposition 4, replacing SS by Λ\Lambda and g′\mathfrak{g}' by g′′\mathfrak{g}''.

If u:M→Nu: M \to N is an injective linear mapping, it is not always true that Λ(u)\Lambda(u) is an injective mapping (§ 6, Exercise 3) (see however below no. 9, Corollary to Proposition 12). However this is so when uu is an injection such that u(M)u(M) is a direct factor of NN and then the image of Λ(u)\Lambda(u) (isomorphic to Λ(M)\Lambda(M)) is a direct factor of Λ(N)\Lambda(N); the proof is the same as that for the analogous assertions for T(u)T(u) (§ 5, no. 2) replacing TT by Λ\Lambda.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
