Algebra, chapter III, § 7. Exterior algebras

Let KK be a commutative field and MM a vector space over KK. For every element z∈Λ(M)z \in \Lambda(M), there exists a smallest vector subspace NN of MM such that z∈Λ(N)z \in \Lambda(N) and NN is finite-dimensional.

The proof is deduced from that of § 5, no. 2, Corollary to Proposition 4 replacing TT by Λ\Lambda throughout.

NN is called the vector subspace of MM associated with the element zz of Λ(M)\Lambda(M).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
