Algebra, chapter III, § 7. Exterior algebras

If σ∈Sn\sigma \in S_n is the permutation such that σ(h)=ih\sigma(h) = i_h for 1≤h≤p1 \leq h \leq p, σ(h)=jn−p\sigma(h) = j_{n-p} for p+1≤h≤np + 1 \leq h \leq n, then εσ=(−1)ν\varepsilon_\sigma = (-1)^\nu.

For 1≤h<h′≤p1 \leq h < h' \leq p or p+1≤h<h′≤np + 1 \leq h < h' \leq n, σ(h′)>σ(h)\sigma(h') > \sigma(h) and the number of ordered pairs (h,h′)(h, h') such that 1≤h≤p<h′≤n1 \leq h \leq p < h' \leq n and σ(h)>σ(h′)\sigma(h) > \sigma(h') is equal to ν\nu.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
