Let HH be a finite group and UU a left A[H]A[H]-module. Suppose that the AA-module UU has a basis BB which is stable under the operations of HH in UU, and put Ω=B/H\Omega = B/H. For each w∈Ωw \in \Omega let uω=∑b∈ωbu_\omega = \sum_{b \in \omega} b; then

(i) (uω)ω∈Ω(u_\omega)_{\omega \in \Omega} is a basis of the AA-module UHU^H.

(ii) For each ω∈Ω\omega \in \Omega let vv, be a point of ω\omega; put ω′=w−{vω}\omega' = w - \{v_\omega\} and B′=⋃ω∈Ωw′B' = \bigcup_{\omega \in \Omega} w', then B′B' is a basis of a supplementary subspace for UHU^H in UU.

The union of the set of all uωu_\omega (for ω∈Ω\omega \in \Omega) and of B′B' is a basis of UU. If U′=∑ω∈ΩAuU' = \sum_{\omega \in \Omega} Au, and U′′=∑b∈B′AbU'' = \sum_{b \in B'} Ab, we therefore have U=U′⊕U′′U = U' \oplus U''. On the other hand, we have uω∈UHu_\omega \in U^H for all w∈Ωw \in \Omega, hence U′⊂UHU' \subset U^H. Finally, let (αb)b∈B(\alpha_b)_{b \in B} be a family of elements of AA with finite support and let x=∑b∈Bαbbx = \sum_{b \in B} \alpha_b b. If x∈UHx \in U^H, then αhb=αbH\alpha_{hb} = \alpha_b^H for all b∈Bb \in B and all h∈Hh \in H, hence x∈U′x \in U', and it follows that U′=uHU' = u^H.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
