Algebra, V, p. 65, § 10. Galois extensions

— Let NN be a field, Γ\Gamma a group of automorphisms of NN and KK the field of invariants of Γ\Gamma. Let VV be a vector sub-K-space of NN of finite dimension over K. Then every K-linear mapping u of V into N is a linear combination with coefficients in N of the restrictions to V of elements of Γ\Gamma.

Let u be a K-linear mapping of V into N and let V(N)=N⊗KVV_{(N)} = N \otimes_K V be the vector N-space derived from V by extension of scalars; denote by u~\tilde{u} the N-linear form on V(N)V_{(N)} such that u~(x⊗y)=x⋅u(y)\tilde{u}(x \otimes y) = x \cdot u(y) for x∈Nx \in N and y∈Vy \in V. For each a∈Γa \in \Gamma there exists an N-linear form h, on V(N)V_{(N)} such that hσ(x⊗y)=xσ(y)h_\sigma(x \otimes y) = x \sigma(y) for x∈Nx \in N and y∈Vy \in V. The canonical mapping of V(N)=N⊗KVV_{(N)} = N \otimes_K V into N⊗KNN \otimes_K N is injective. Now the Cor. of Prop. 8 (V, p. 64) show that the intersection of the kernels of the linear forms h, on V(N)V_{(N)} is reduced to 0. Therefore (II, p. 302, Cor. 1) there exist a1,…,σna_1, \ldots, \sigma_n in Γ\Gamma and a1,…,ana_1, \ldots, a_n in NN such that u~=∑i=1naihσi\tilde{u} = \sum_{i=1}^n a_i h_{\sigma_i} whence u(x)=∑i=1naiσi(x)u(x) = \sum_{i=1}^n a_i \sigma_i(x) for all x∈Vx \in V.

Let us equip the set NNN^N of all mappings of N into N with the product topology of the discrete topologies of the factors. Th. 2 means that the set of linear combinations with coefficients in N of elements of Γ\Gamma is dense in the set of K-linear mappings of N into itself.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
