Algebra, chapter II, § 7. Vector spaces

Let (xi∗)1≤i≤p(x_i^*)_{1 \leq i \leq p} be a finite sequence of linear forms on E and let F be the subspace of E consisting of the x such that

⟨x,xi∗⟩=0for 1≤i≤p. \langle x, x_i^* \rangle = 0 \quad \text{for } 1 \leq i \leq p.

Then codim⁡EF\operatorname{codim}_E F is equal to the rank of the set of the xi∗x_i^* and every linear form on E which is zero on F is a linear combination of the xi∗x_i^*. Then codim⁡EF≤p\operatorname{codim}_E F \leq p and in order that codim⁡EF=p\operatorname{codim}_E F = p, it is necessary and sufficient that the xi∗x_i^* be linearly independent.

The set G′G' of linear combinations of the xi∗x_i^* is a subspace of E∗E^* and F is the orthogonal of G′G' in E, hence codim⁡EF=dim⁡G′\operatorname{codim}_E F = \dim G' by Theorem 7; further dim⁡G′≤p\dim G' \leq p and the relation dim⁡G′=p\dim G' = p means that (xi∗)(x_i^*) is a free system (no. 2, Proposition 1); hence the corollary.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
