Algebra, chapter V, § 12. Finite fields

The polynomial Φ3(X)=X2+X+1\Phi_3(X) = X^2 + X + 1 is irreducible in Fq[X]F_q[X] if and only if q≡2(mod3)q \equiv 2 \pmod{3}. Likewise Φ4(X)=X2+1\Phi_4(X) = X^2 + 1 is irreducible in Fq[X]F_q[X] if and only if q≡3(mod4)q \equiv 3 \pmod{4} and for Φ5=X4+X3+X2+X+1\Phi_5 = X^4 + X^3 + X^2 + X + 1, the irreducibility condition reads q≡2, 3(mod5)q \equiv 2,\ 3 \pmod{5}.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
