Algebra, V, p. 119, § 15. Separable extensions

Let A\mathbf{A} be a commutative algebra over a field KK. Then AA is said to be separable over KK, or also a separable KK-algebra if the ring L⊗KAL \otimes_K \mathbf{A} is reduced for every extension LL of KK.

Every separable algebra is clearly reduced. For a partial converse see Th. 3 (V, p. 125).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
