Algebra, chapter VI, § 1. Ordered groups. Divisibility

— In the additive group Z×Z\mathbf{Z} \times \mathbf{Z}, let PP be the set of elements (x,y)(x, y) satisfying two inequalities ax+by≥0ax + by \geq 0 and cx+dy≥0cx + dy \geq 0, where a,b,c,da, b, c, d are integers (* or real numbers *) such that ad−bc≠0ad - bc \neq 0; the « cone » PP satisfies the first two conditions of Prop. 3. In this way various orderings compatible with the group structure of Z×Z\mathbf{Z} \times \mathbf{Z} can be defined ; the group is not totally ordered under any of these orderings.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
