Algebra, chapter VII, § 1. Principal ideal domains

Prop. 1 applies with no restrictions to an arbitrary family (xi)(x_i) of elements of AA (take b=1b = 1), and also to any finite family (xi)(x_i) of elements of KK (if xi=cibix_i = c_i b_i with ci∈Ac_i \in A and bi∈Ab_i \in A, then take bb to be the product of the bib_i).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
