Algebra, VII, p. 13, § 2. Torsion modules over a principal ideal domain
If is the prime decomposition of the integer , then the group of invertible elements of the ring is isomorphic to the product of the groups . If is a prime number and an integer, then the group is cyclic of order . The group is trivial; for the group is the direct product of the cyclic group of order generated by the residue class of 5 mod and the cyclic group of order 2 consisting of the residue classes of 1 and mod .
The orders of and of are coprime; since and are cyclic (Prop. 3 and V, p. 78, Lemma 1), the group is cyclic (apply Lemma 4 to the exact sequence (3)). If then the restriction of the homomorphism to the subgroup is bijective; the group is thus the direct product of this subgroup and the kernel of ; the result follows from Prop. 3.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
