Topological Vector Spaces, chapter I, § 1. Topological vector spaces

Let (Ev)v∈I(E_v)_{v \in I} be a family of topological vector spaces on a topological division ring KK. Let EE be a vector space on KK and for each v∈Iv \in I, let fvf_v be a linear mapping of EE in EvE_v. Then the coarsest topology on EE which makes each function fvf_v continuous, is a topology T\mathscr{T} compatible with the vector space structure of EE. Further, if for every x∈Ex \in E, ϕ(x)\phi(x) denotes the point (fv(x))(f_v(x)) of the product space F=∏v∈IEvF = \prod_{v \in I} E_v, then the topology T\mathscr{T} is the inverse image of the topology of the subspace ϕ(E)\phi(E) of FF under the linear mapping ϕ\phi.

The last part of the proposition is a particular case of GT, I, § 4.1, prop. 3. The proposition then follows from the next lemma.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
