Topological Vector Spaces, II, p. 8, § 2. Convex sets

Let EE and FF be two affine spaces and ff be an affine linear mapping of EE in FF; then the image of a convex subset of EE under ff, and the inverse image of a convex subset of FF under ff are both convex.

The image under ff of the closed segment with end points x,yx, y is the closed segment with end points f(x),f(y)f(x), f(y), hence the first statement. We deduce that the inverse image of a closed segment of FF under ff contains each closed segment whose end points belong to it; the second statement of prop. 2 follows.

In particular the image of a convex set under a homothety or a translation is a convex set.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
