Topological Vector Spaces, chapter II, § 2. Convex sets

— Let (Ei)i∈I(E_i)_{i \in I} be a family of vector spaces, and for each i∈Ii \in I, let AiA_i be a non-empty subset of EiE_i. Then the set A=∏i∈IAiA = \prod_{i \in I} A_i is convex in E=∏i∈IEiE = \prod_{i \in I} E_i, if, and only if, for all i∈Ii \in I, the set AiA_i is convex in EiE_i.

In fact, each projection pri\mathrm{pr}_i is a linear mapping and we have Ai=priAA_i = \mathrm{pr}_i A and A=⋂i∈Ipri−1(Ai)A = \bigcap_{i \in I} \mathrm{pr}_i^{-1}(A_i); the proposition follows from props. 2 and 5 above.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
