Topological Vector Spaces, II, p. 11, § 2. Convex sets

A subset C of E is a convex cone if and only if C+C⊂CC + C \subset C and λC⊂C\lambda C \subset C for all λ>0\lambda > 0.

For the condition λC⊂C\lambda C \subset C for all λ>0\lambda > 0 characterises the cones. If C is convex we have C+C=12C+12C=CC + C = \frac{1}{2}C + \frac{1}{2}C = C (II, p. 8, Remark). Conversely, if the cone C is such that C+C⊂CC + C \subset C, then for 0<λ<10 < \lambda < 1, we have λC+(1−λ)C=C+C⊂C\lambda C + (1 - \lambda) C = C + C \subset C, which shows that C is convex.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
