Topological Vector Spaces, chapter II, § 2. Convex sets

— The interior A∘\overset{\circ}{A} of a convex set A‾\overline{A}, is itself a convex set; if A∘\overset{\circ}{A} is not empty, then it coincides with the interior of A‾\overline{A}, and A‾\overline{A} is a convex set that coincides with the closure of A∘\overset{\circ}{A}.

It follows from prop. 16, that if A∘\overset{\circ}{A} is not empty, then it is a convex set and every point of A‾\overline{A} is a cluster point of A∘\overset{\circ}{A}. Next we show that every interior point of A‾\overline{A} belongs to A∘\overset{\circ}{A}. Let x be an interior point of A‾\overline{A} and suppose, for definiteness that x=0x = 0. Let V be a symmetric neighbourhood of 0 that is contained in A‾\overline{A} and let y∈A∘∩Vy \in \overset{\circ}{A} \cap V; now −y∈A‾-y \in \overline{A}, and therefore, by prop. 16, we see that 0∈A∘0 \in \overset{\circ}{A}, if y≠0y \neq 0; this is obviously true if y=0y = 0.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
